Agricultural Raw Materials Terminal (ARM)

The Port of Brest uses its ARM terminal to handle the seeds, grain, meal and other products it receives, which are used by agricultural and agro-industrial companies in Brittany.
With its 7 warehouses and 420-linear-metre quay, it boasts storage capacity of 130,000T.

Ship repair

Ship repair is part of the history of the Port of Brest, now equipped with 3 dry docks, the 1st of which already dates back over a century and the most recent is one of the largest in Europe.
The dry docks have two deep-water quays that also allow for afloat ship repair.
The commercial port and ship repair facilities are ISO 9001 and 14001 certified.

Marine renewable energy (MRE) terminal

The port has heavily invested over the last decade to accommodate and develop marine energy industries. The polder boasts a 400m-long quay dedicated to heavy goods and 40ha of surface area, set to be fully available in 2027 to accommodate wind energy industries.

The container terminal has direct links to the rail and motorway networks, and guarantees worldwide maritime connections via feedering and cabotage.
Operating 24/7, the terminal allows shipowners and shippers to optimise organisation and ensure rapid handling of goods and decreased layover time.

The port of the future

A veritable driver of the energy transition, BrestPort is responsible for operating the commercial port, which is owned by the Region of Brittany, and in 2024 signed a new 40-year concession contract to handle the port of Brest’s commercial, industrial and energy activities.
